iDokuta Care Privacy Policy

This policy describes the app's actual data practices as of the July 2026 build, including interpreted voice calls. The English version is authoritative; other-language versions are provided for convenience only.

iDokuta Care ("we", "our", or "the App") is operated by Crealize LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the iDokuta Care mobile application.

iDokuta Care is a set of language tools for foreigners in or visiting Japan. It helps you communicate about health in Japanese — including translation, a symptom-to-Japanese helper, a clinic map, an optional health card, and real-time interpreted voice calls to Japanese clinics. It is not a medical diagnosis and not a doctor.

1. Information We Collect

The current version of the App collects only the following:

Account information: the email address (or phone number) you use to sign in, and your display name. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier from that provider. We also store your chosen language.
Health card (optional): if you choose to fill it in, your blood type, allergies, chronic conditions, current medications, organ-donor preference, and emergency-contact language. You can leave this empty.
Approximate location (clinic map only): when you open the "Find clinics" map, the App uses your device location to look up nearby medical places. It is used only while you use that feature.
Text you type into the language tools: the words you enter to be translated or to describe symptoms. This text is sent to our translation provider only at the moment of translation and is not stored in our database (see Section 4).
Microphone and voice-call audio (interpreted calls): when you place a real-time interpreted voice call to a clinic, the App accesses your microphone and transmits the call audio through our voice provider so the call can be interpreted live. The audio is processed for the live call; we do not store a recording or transcript of the call. After the call, we store a short structured summary (the main points discussed) so you can review it later; this summary can contain health-related information.

We do not collect payment or card data, prescriptions, or delivery addresses, because the current version does not include those features. We do not record or store call audio or transcripts; the only record we keep of a call is the optional structured summary described above.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide the translation and symptom-to-Japanese language tools
To store your optional health card so you can show it at a clinic
To show nearby medical places on the clinic map (using your current location)
To connect and interpret your real-time voice calls to Japanese clinics, and to generate the post-call summary
To create and secure your account and let you sign in
To provide customer support when you contact us

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not train AI models on it.

3. Information Sharing

Your information may be processed by:

Our AI translation provider (Google — Gemini), which receives the text you type only at the moment of translation
Our voice-call provider (Twilio), which carries and processes your call audio in real time so an interpreted call can take place. Twilio is based in the United States, so a voice call involves a cross-border transfer of the live audio. We do not store the audio.
Our map provider (Google Maps SDK), which provides the map tiles. The medical-place listings come from OpenStreetMap data we imported into our own database, not from Google Places.
Our cloud infrastructure provider (Cloudflare), which hosts our backend and database
Sign-in providers (Apple, Google), only if you choose to sign in with them
Government authorities, only when required by law

We do not sell your personal or health information to third parties, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Translation Text

The translation and symptom tools use Google Gemini to translate and structure the text you type. That text is sent to the provider only at the moment of translation to produce the result, and it is not stored in our database. The symptom tool only translates and structures your text — it does not make a diagnosis.

5. Interpreted Voice Calls

When you start a real-time interpreted voice call to a clinic, the App accesses your microphone and streams the call audio through our voice provider (Twilio) so the call can be interpreted live. The audio is used only to carry and interpret the call as it happens. We do not record the call and we do not store a transcript. After the call ends, we generate and store a short structured summary (the main points), which you can view in the app and which may include health-related details. You can delete this summary by deleting your account (see Section 8).

6. Data Storage & Security

Your account email and display name, your optional health card, and your post-call summaries are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. Apple/Google sign-in identifiers are stored as SHA-256 hashes. Data is transmitted over an encrypted connection (TLS).

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Object to certain processing activities

8. Account Deletion & Data Removal

iDokuta Care — Account and Data Deletion Request

You may request the deletion of your iDokuta Care account and associated personal data at any time. To do so:

Open the iDokuta Care app and go to Settings → Account.
Tap Delete Account.
Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm and submit the deletion request.

Alternatively, email us at privacy@crealize.llc with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and include your registered email address.

What is deleted: your account profile (email/display name), language preference, sign-in identifier, your optional health card, and your post-call summaries. Because the current version does not have in-app payments, there are no payment records to retain, and we never stored call recordings or transcripts.

9. Children's Privacy

iDokuta Care is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
